French in Action

Just found fiafans.org, which is "About the Cult of French in Action". Pleasant surprise, after being a fan of the course for so many years. I watched and recorded it when it was first broadcast so many years ago. I learned a lot from it, though I already knew a fair amount of French.

The site has info about the subsequent careers of some of the actors in the series, notably Charles Mayer (a quebecois, apparently) and ValĂ©rie Allain. There is much discussion (and desperation) concerning the disappearance of Virginie Comtesse, who played Marie-Laure.

The 52 30-minute lessons of French in Action can be watched on-line. Go to French in Action at www.learner.org.
